Week 7, Sunday
In 53 BC Marcus Crassus, the richest man in Rome, marched an army of seven legions into the Mesopotamian desert to buy himself a military reputation, certain the Parthians would scatter at the sight of him. The Parthian horse archers simply kept shooting, and every time the Romans waited for the arrows to run out, a train of camels arrived with more. Crassus lost the army, the eagles and finally his own head, which ended up as a stage prop in a Parthian performance of Euripides. Ethan lost to Anish.
Ethan sat at 58.5 percent before kickoff and finished Sunday at 0.4, stuck on 130.44 with nobody left for Monday, the second lead the commissioner has bled out this season. Nico Collins, projected for 17.1, gave him 2.6 while Malik Willis put 30.02 on him for Anish, and Anish still has Dallas Goedert and Javonte Williams coming like another camel train. Crassus at least had a treacherous guide to walk him into the sand; Ethan wrote the rules and marched himself. Carlos started a zero and won, and the commissioner started Nico Collins and lost his head.
Where it stands
Njigba’s in Paris (Peter) vs Shough and Fhough (Justin)
Trey McBride's 32.1 had Justin face down before the late games, and Peter rode it from 86 percent to 99.9 with 165.94, his first lineup in weeks without a Case Keenum in it. Justin sits at 140.8 and 0.1 percent with Jahmyr Gibbs choking out 17.3 on a 26.6 projection, and his entire Monday night is Ryan Flournoy, projected for 7. Ransom note.
Love on the Spectrum (Ethan) vs Anish
Anish sits at 135 and 99.6 percent with Dallas Goedert and Javonte Williams still to play, all because Malik Willis dropped 30.02 into a lineup that also carried Jaylin Noel's 1.7. Accidental genius, and he will tell you it was a plan.
