Week 8, Sunday
In August 1860 Robert O'Hara Burke marched out of Melbourne to cross Australia with twenty tons of baggage, an oak table among it, and no experience of the bush whatever. In April 1861 he dragged himself back to the depot at Cooper Creek and found it abandoned that same morning, with the word dig carved in a tree. He dug, took the food, and set off for a police post at a place called Mount Hopeless, which he never reached. Carlos fucked it up faster.
Carlos came in at 41.4 percent and leaves at 0 with 145.84 points and nobody left for Monday night, an empty depot with his own name carved in the tree. Parker Washington, projected for 14.9, gave Carlos 3.6, and Burke at least dumped his dead weight on the road. Joe Burrow posted 52.48 for Brandon while Drake Maye posted 26.46 for Carlos. Burke could blame a desert and a relief party that quit the morning he came back; Carlos had a lineup he set himself and a team named after the wrong quarterback.
Where it stands
Shough and Fhough (Justin) vs Anish
Anish has 166.32, the lead, and a 31.6 percent chance down from 50, because Ja'Marr Chase's 31.1 is already spent and nobody is left behind it. Justin sits at 152.9 and 68.4 percent on Harold Fannin Jr.'s 28.4, having survived Drake London's 1.8 on a 16.5 projection, and Sam Darnold, projected for 18.8, is all Justin has left for Monday night. Darnold is about to fuck Anish in front of the whole league. Sucker.
Njigba’s in Paris (Peter) vs Let A Naysayer Know (Devante)
Peter has 146.64 and a 99.9 percent chance, up from 87.9, with Zay Flowers's 0 already in the book and Drew Lock, projected for 0, still in the lineup next to Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Monday night. PETER STARTED A MAN PROJECTED FOR ZERO AND IS WINNING. Devante is at 110.6 and 0.1 percent, down from 12.1, because Lamar Jackson gave Devante 0 on a 23.5 projection, which wasted Bhayshul Tuten's 29.9 and leaves Emanuel Wilson, projected for 6.7, as the cavalry.
