Week 7, Thursday night
In 1588 Philip II of Spain sent his Armada against England and got it back in pieces off Scotland and Ireland, so in 1596 he sent a second one, which an October gale sank off Cape Finisterre, and in 1597 a third, which the weather scattered again. Justin watched Efton Chism III score a zero in week 6 and sent him out again. Chism came back with 2.6 while TreVeyon Henderson, Justin's 6.05, sat on the bench and beat him anyway. Philip could at least blame the wind. Justin had the forecast in writing and sailed straight into it, the dumb fuck.
Banked
Drake Maye, the 1.01 everyone laughed at, dropped 32.44 for Carlos, and Rhamondre Stevenson, a 13.10, added 22.5. Carlos still benched Cole Kmet's 7.3 to start DeMario Douglas's 5.3, because a man who gets lucky at the top always screws it up at the bottom.
Across the field, Matthew's entire Thursday was A.J. Brown, projected for 14.92, and he came home with 7.8 while Maye bent Matthew over the scorer's table.
The commissioner banked 49.82 off Caleb Williams's 26.12 and Luther Burden III's 23.7, and Ethan will call it vision, the same vision that left 57.3 on his own bench in week 6. Rigged.
Colston Loveland's 23.4 and D'Andre Swift's 19 carried Navid to 42.4, and Navid will mistake one Thursday for a plan.
Hunter Henry's 17.6 is the only reason Justin's 20.2 is not a crime scene.
Peter benched Eli Raridon, who put up 16.1 and fucked the man who benched him while Justin's Hunter Henry did it from the other side. Case Keenum sat next to him with another zero, and Peter was too scared to start him this time, which counts as growth.
Alex started Kyle Monangai on a projection of 0 and collected exactly 0, the only promise this league has ever kept to him.
Devante's Zavion Thomas and Brandon's Romeo Doubs both scored 0 from the bench. Brandon lost Efton Chism III on a $0 bid in week 5, and watching Justin start Chism since is the best thing that ever happened to Brandon.
